Jordan is interested in the side spaces, factory roofs, subway tunnels, underpasses, blank walls - those non-places that are forgotten spaces. The landscape is no longer present, except in the weather, and how the light of the weather affects the space: the darkness of a November afternoon, or the reflected light from a fresh snowfall. Frequently the source of light is artificial, as in the neon lights of the metro paintings.
